Our Story

Our Story

Brooklyn soul, sunshine life

Art, jewelry, and home pieces for people who care about the details.

Urban Kay started the way most honest things do — with a gap that kept bothering us.

We spent years looking for a store that felt like the intersection of everything we loved: the refined edge of city living, the warmth of a home that's actually lived in, and the kind of gift-giving that makes someone stop and say, "how did you find this?"

That store didn't exist. So we built it.

"We believe the things you surround yourself with should reflect who you are — not just what was available."

What we're about

Urban Kay is a curated collection of art, personalized jewelry, premium apparel, and home pieces — each chosen for its ability to make the everyday feel a little more intentional.

We're not a department store. We're not a marketplace with ten thousand listings. Every product you see here was selected because it passed a simple test: would someone with impeccable taste be proud to give this as a gift?

If the answer wasn't an immediate yes, it didn't make the cut.

What we believe in

Quality over quantity

A small catalog of things we stand behind completely. We'd rather have 40 products we love than 400 we're not sure about.

Design with restraint

The most beautiful things are usually the simplest. One elegant line. One meaningful word. One perfect color. That's enough.

Gifts that mean something

Every piece of personalized jewelry, every engraved item, every curated art print is designed to carry a story — yours.

Premium materials, always

18K gold plating. Museum-quality canvas. Heavyweight cotton. We choose suppliers obsessively because the product is the promise.

The name

Urban Kay is a nod to where we come from — years spent in Brooklyn, where taste is sharp, the bar is high, and the best things are always a little hidden. The "urban" is that sensibility: modern, design-forward, confident without being loud.

We brought that eye with us when life moved to warmer places. The aesthetic didn't change — it just got more sunshine.

Thanks for being here. We're glad you found us.
